Noor Pace, Founder & Executive Communication Advisor, PACE by Noor. Beirut, Lebanon.
I studied sociology and anthropology at the American University of Beirut. At the time, I thought I was learning how societies form, how groups build trust, and how status is signaled inside a room. It took a decade of teaching to realize I'd actually been training for something much narrower: understanding exactly what happens inside a boardroom when authority shifts from one person to another in real time.
For ten years, I taught English to the largest Arabic-English learning audience of its kind: Master English أتقن الإنجليزية, a YouTube channel that grew to 1.8 million subscribers and 2.5 million users across all platforms, across 40 countries, and was awarded YouTube's Gold Play Button for surpassing one million subscribers.
Most of that audience was learning English from the ground up. But a specific segment kept reaching out with a completely different problem: senior, accomplished, often fluent professionals who had finished every course available to them, and still lost their authority the moment a meeting moved into English.
They weren't asking for more grammar. They were describing something closer to a system failure under pressure: full comprehension, ready arguments, and a live collapse the second the room got difficult. I watched this same story repeat, at a scale no individual coach ever sees, until the pattern was undeniable. This was not a language problem. It was structural, predictable, and removable.
Isolating that pattern is what became PACE: Presence. Authority. Command. Execution. Read the full method →
For years, the standard advice to a senior professional who lost the room in English was: study more. I watched people follow that advice, improve their English, and come back with the exact same defeat, because the block was never their vocabulary. PACE exists because that advice was incomplete, and because a pattern this specific deserved a private, evidence-based practice instead of another course.
